Starting my journey as an Instrumentation Engineer, the CII-FM Training was the perfect launchpad. Despite being the topper in college, I couldn’t secure a job in the instrumentation field & wasn’t satisfied with an IT job I landed. Luckily, I learned about CII-FM Training from a relative & decided to apply. Getting selected was the turning point. The training was a comprehensive programme designed to make freshers industry-ready.

The first two weeks of classroom learning laid a solid foundation. I was amazed to realise that many measuring instruments are based on the simple physics and chemistry principles we often overlook in school. Industry experts, with 5-25 years of experience, taught us not just technical skills but also the importance of asking questions. Their willingness to solve every query made the experience even more enriching.

The phase two was hands-on training on the shop floor, in rotations through units like ARCA (control valve manufacturing), Krohne Marshall (flow meters), & the Integrated Systems unit. This practical exposure allowed me to apply classroom concepts. I assembled flow meters & control valves, gaining insights into each part’s importance. This hands-on experience is now invaluable in my current role when selecting instruments for specific environments.

As a team leader during this phase, I arranged sessions with department managers to help my team gain deeper knowledge, which was a great leadership experience. Beyond technical learning, we also had weekly lectures on sales, marketing, quality, & logistics, which helped me during interviews.

The mentorship I received from Mr Dhamankar, who personally conducted SWOT analysis for each trainee, was transformative. His guidance, along with the habit of reading books, which I picked up during the programme, helped me grow both personally & professionally.

In conclusion, choosing CII-FM Training was the best decision for my career. Every aspect of the training contributed to my development, and today, I proudly serve as a System Engineer at EEEC, Pune. I’m grateful to everyone who played a part in my journey.
