Steam Meter FLOWIRL™ 8400

FLOWIRL 8400’s is a vortex flow meter which comes with an optional pressure sensor for integrated density compensation which provides exact measurement of gases and superheated steam even in varying process conditions.

This versatile vortex flowmeter is capable of factoring in fluctuating pressures and temperatures and give correct measurements. FLOWIRL 8400 is the ideal choice for applications involving saturated and superheated steam, measurement of consumption of industrial gases, monitoring compressor output and evaluating free air delivery (FAD).

  • Advanced technology for signal filtering – AVFD (advanced vortex frequency detection).
  • Integrated pressure and temperature compensation
  • Temperature compensation for saturated steam included as standard
  • Remote version with field housing converter with cable length up to 50 m / 164 ft Integrated reduction of nominal size
  • Highly accurate measurement on account of temperature compensation.
  • Integrated gross and net heat calculation for steam and hot water
