For any SWAS to give accurate readings, it is imperative that the sample is cooled below 35 Deg. C. In most of the SWAS systems, the sample is cooled using closed circuit cooling water provided by the customer as a utility. For optimum cooling, the cooling water should be available at temperature below 35 Deg C. which is not always the case.
Higher temperatures of the cooling water lead to sample temperatures above 50 Deg C. which affects the SWAS readings. In such cases, chiller packages become a necessity.
Forbes Marshall chiller packages can be conveniently installed to bring down the sample temperature to as low as 25 Deg. C. thereby allowing the SWAS to give correct measurements.
