Bimetallic Thermostatic Steam Trap FMBM
FMBM is a bimetallic thermostatic steam trap designed to drain high pressure and high temperature steam lines. These traps are equipped with a reinforced stainless steel insert within the body for protection against erosion/corrosion.
The operating mechanism of bimetallic steam trap is a bimetallic strip which expands/contracts to control the trap opening. The rugged nature of bimetallic strip and lack of any other moving components make this trap highly suitable for high temperature and high pressure applications.
FMBM comes with an inbuilt check valve, strainer screen and an external adjustment screw for adjusting the discharge temperature of the condensate.
- Discharge temperature can be adjusted using a simple screw mechanism.
- Inbuilt strainer and check valve make it easy and quick to install.
- FMBM works on temperature difference and not density, hence it can distinguish between air and steam and has good air-venting capabilities.
- Ability to control the discharge temperature allows for utilisation of additional heat below the point of saturation from the condensate.
