Diverse, Young and Enthusiastic: Meet the NextGen Leaders of FM

As the world is ageing, India is getting younger and its reflection can also be seen in the corporate world. Millennials are already a part of workforce and their perspectives cannot be ignored. Gone are those days when leadership was defined by position or age. You are aware that in today’s world, leadership is action and not designation. Also, leaders exist at all levels and therefore leadership development programs cannot be restricted only to the ‘designated’ leaders.

At Forbes Marshall, we have always promoted ‘development of all’, irrespective of position or age. In order to build further on this, we have introduced a programme titled ‘Bright Minds’, which comprises 32 members who will undergo a two- year leadership development program. There will be classroom sessions, projects, visits, and many interesting assignments for grooming this young talent.

Being a gender-equal workplace, we have also introduced a program titled SOCH, which seeks to develop women leaders so that they can successfully chart the future of our organisation. In pursuing our goal to provide leadership skills to our high-potential lady members, this program will address some unique challenges faced by women in leadership positions. This program for women leaders applies research to understand the limiting beliefs, perceptions, stereotypes, and backlash that women uniquely face. The program design aims to enable participants with effective leadership strategies and solutions.
