Forbes Marshall Design Consultancy

Utilities like Steam, Compressed Air, Hot Water, Thermic fluid, etc have a huge influence on your production aspirations and energy footprint. Benchmark plants are able to meet desired production capacities with lower rejection ratios, higher equipment availability and 20-30% lower utility energy footprint than conventional plants.

The key difference in a benchmark plant that makes this possible is the proper integration of the production process with the utilities during the design stage. The conventional approach to utility design is based on computing the loads and adding a safety factor resulting in rigid utilities that cannot cater to the dynamic requirements of your process. The importance of the right integration of the production process with the utilities is an aspect that is frequently underestimated resulting in bottlenecks impacting energy, productivity and quality.

Our unique approach to utility design focuses on understanding the requirement of your process, and then applying our utility domain expertise to design a utility system that is completely in synch with your process

Get in Touch

    Need Assessment

Our team of experts will understand your exact needs in terms of production volumes, quality considerations and many other parameters.

    Ideation and Designing

In this phase, our team will work on the brief received and brainstorm on how to convert the brief into most efficient steam system. This phase will include innovatively approaching the process parameters, layout, flows, sizing and many other crucial parameters. Our experts will arrive at the sweet spot of safety, efficiency, and costing by simulating multiple scenarios through our siulation software.

    Engineering

Once the design is approved by all the stake-holders on both the sides, our engineering team will build accurate engineering drawings and schematics which will be used by the EPC to actually build the plant.

    Overseeing

When you plant gets built, Forbes Marshall experts will visit the site and closely monitor the construction to verify if all the standards are being met and the plant is being constructed as per the drawings.

    Handholding

Once the commissioning is complete, Forbes Marshall team will periodically visit the plant to review whether the plant is being operated in the best possible way.
