Improving energy efficiency at a food processing plant in Thailand

Initially, the plant was generating steam in-house and condensate was being utilised in the boiler. However, after switching to purchasing steam from an external source, hot condensate was being drained from the boiler feed water tank, resulting in a loss of useful heat energy and water. Forbes Marshall engineers conducted a thorough audit and a comprehensive solution was developed to recover this heat to the process resulting in a reduction in plant steam consumption.
