Heat Pump Specialist
Qualification: B.E. / M.E. / M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering / Refrigeration)
Experience: 5 to 7 years in refrigeration / heat pump domain
Skill Set required:
a. Knowledge of refrigerants, refrigeration cycle, heat pump, components like compressors, heat exchanger, expansion devices, etc
b. Hands-on / practical experience of such systems
c. Experience in cooling systems
Roles and Responsibilities:
a. Design & development of heat pump system
b. Cycle analysis to select refrigerants & compressors
c. Product Engineering, Materials & Manufacturing Processes; Design Calculations, performance calculations; component sizing & selection
d. Prototyping
e. Testing & validation of performance
f. Application engineering – integration with processes
g. New product / cycle development
h. Exploration
This involves end-to-end product development, ideation, design concepts, aesthetics & ergonomics, material/hardware selection, mockups/prototyping & testing, experiments to evaluate & validate designs, problem-solving, RCA, tooling feasibility, support to engineering documentation & release
A candidate should be comfortable in working with an interdisciplinary R&D environment with product users (sales/service), end customers, industrial designers, tooling suppliers & vendors, electronics team, internal customers, approvals & compliance team.
