Forbes Marshall inaugurates a new Steam Systems manufacturing facility at Chakan

The Steam Systems Pavilion at Forbes Marshall’s new manufacturing campus at MIDC Chakan Phase II near Savardari village, was inaugurated on 11 December 2015. This new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, under the Mega Project cheme of Government of Maharashtra, is spread over 50 acres.

This is a campus with many factories which meets their long term expansion plans, as Forbes Marshall had outgrown its two manufacturing locations at Kasarwadi and MIDC Pimpri. The company can now progressively concentrate manufacturing activity covering all businesses at one site.

At present, Phase I and Phase II A are complete, with a total built up area of 48,000 sq meters. Phase II A is the two storey Steam Systems Pavilion for manufacture of steam systems, electronics, the Steam Training Centre.

Forbes Marshall’s complete range of steam products and systems will be made at the new Chakan factory, including steam traps, automatic pressure powered condensate pumps, pressure reducing station, de-aerators, pipeline ancillar ke strainers, check valves and piston valves, steam operated pump traps, custom built hot water solutions and heat recovery packages, catering to the entire spectrum of process industry.

The campus has been designed by internationally renowned Christopher Charles Benninger Architects (CCBA) and has received many awards including The Indian Institute of Architects Award for the best Industrial building, the Builders Association’s Well Built Structure Award, the Artist in Concrete Award at Asia Fest 2014-15, under Industrial Building category.
