Ensuring borewell availability and water accountability at a power plant using EverSense for Groundwater Extraction Management
A power plant in North West India, located within city limits, relies on 10 borewells for its daily operations. The plant faced difficulties in managing borewell health and ensuring proper water extraction due to faulty network components and improper borewell operation. As a result, groundwater accountability was below expectations, and additionally, a borewell failure occurred. In 2021, EverSense for Groundwater Extraction Management was deployed to leverage real-time data-based insights. By being digitally connected, we were able to identify issues within the network, including faulty components like the non-return valve (NRV), which was negatively impacting water accountability. Additionally, we were able use the data to identify improper borewell operations, which had led to a previous borewell failure.
