Upskilling youth
We run several initiatives aimed at upskilling youth and designed to enhance employability. Our primary objective is to provide practical exposure to fresh engineers, ensuring they are industry-ready by equipping them with hands-on experience and deep insights.
The student-centric programmes we conduct include:
- Postgraduate Course in Steam Engineering: Tailored for graduate engineers, this course covers topics from heat transfer to thermodynamics and offers specialised hand-on training with industry exposure.
- Affirmative Action Training Programme: A 3-and-a-half-month programme, conducted in association with CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), to upskill young engineers.
- Shared Value Programme: A 2-month skill-building initiative for individuals from rural areas across India, aimed at enriching their knowledge and employability.
- Skill Development for ITI: Aimed to improve job prospects, this programme focuses on enhancing the quality of education in vocational trade training courses provided at the Industrial Training Institute.
Faculty development programmes
The use of steam in process industries, such as pharmaceuticals, rubber, chemicals, and food processing, is often overlooked in academia. Our online faculty development programme equips educators in the field of steam engineering with a thorough understanding of improved heat transfer in Industry, advanced materials, sensors and digital technology, with a focus on sustainability. The programme is open to faculty from across the globe, and is aimed at preparing the next generation of engineers on practical applications of steam.
Elevating customer knowledge
In addition to enhancing the competencies of our members and youth, we offer a variety of training programmes designed to upskill our customers on our diverse product range. Our flagship programs include working professional programmes for steam engineering, instrumentation and a certification programme for steam engineering and energy conservation in collaboration with COEP Tech, Pune. Each of these excellence-focused programmes is designed to broaden the expertise of professionals.
